A buffet server cabinet could cost as little as $30,000 in Las Vegas, according to a new report.
Wynn’s has reportedly spent more than $100 million in remodeling of its buffet room and a $40 million renovation of its restaurant and banquet rooms since it moved into the Wynn Las Vegas Resort in 2011.
The refurbishment cost a combined $60 million, according the report.
The Wynn Resorts Board of Directors on Thursday approved $100,000 to the Wynns’ general fund for a five-year modernization project to the buffet service.
The board also approved a $75,000 grant to Wynn to cover a $20 million renovation project to a nearby casino.
The renovation project will include improvements to the inside of the casino, such as new sound and lighting, and a better food-service experience, the report said.
The report did not say how much the Wynnes’ renovation cost or how many jobs the Wynnas’ restaurant staff will be losing.
The company also has spent about $15 million renovating a former Winnie-the-Pooh restaurant in the Strip’s Hotel Vegas, which opened in 2018.
The restaurant is still in the process of being renovated, but Wynns chief executive officer Scott G. Bock said the Wynners are moving forward with the renovation.
The casino also has the Wynne Resort & Casino, a new hotel and resort complex, in the works.
Wynn was purchased by Wynn Entertainment in January 2018 for $3.5 billion.
